By default, when you start a show from the NetSupport School Tutor Console or NetSupport Manager Control, ClearType text within Windows is disabled to improve the performance of the show over slower network connections. You can prevent this from happening by making a change within the configuration of the Tutor/Control application via the registry.
NetSupport School:
- Open the registry on the Tutor Console machine and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NetSupport Ltd\PCICTL\ConfigList\NetSupport School.
- In this key, right click and create the following two string values, both with a value of 1.
show\EnableFontSmoothing
show\EnableLVShadow
NetSupport Manager:
- Open the registry on the Control machine and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NetSupport Ltd\PCICTL\ConfigList\Standard
- In this key, right click and create the following two string values, both with a value of 1.
show\EnableFontSmoothing
show\EnableLVShadow
After restarting the Tutor Console/Control application, ClearType text should now stay enabled when a show is started.
