How do I convert a NetSupport Manager or NetSupport School evaluation licence to the full product?

If you downloaded an evaluation of NetSupport Manager or NetSupport School and have now purchased a licence, you can run the NetSupport License Manager to convert your evaluation to a licensed installation.

  1. Browse to one of the following:
    NetSupport Manager
    32bit C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager
    64bit C:\Program Files (x86)\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager
    NetSupport School
    32bit C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport School
    64bit C:\Program Files (x86)\NetSupport\NetSupport School
  2. Double click on the file called PCILIC.EXE.
  3. The NetSupport License Manager will appear.

  1. Enter the required information.
    Note: The Licence type field will only appear for NetSupport School.
  2. Select Generate.
  3. Your licence key (NSM.LIC file) will be successfully created.

Note: The information must be entered exactly as it appears on your licence certificate. The process is case sensitive and needs to be exact. If your authorisation key does not match the information that you enter, the licence key will fail to be generated.

Deploying the licence once generated
Once you have successfully generated your licence key, you can distribute the file using our Deploy utility to the workstations that you have previously installed the product on.

  1. Select NetSupport Manager/School Deploy from the NetSupport Manager/School program group.
  2. The NetSupport Manager/School Deploy main window will appear.

You can deploy using an IP address range (specified IP ranges or computers with an IP range local to the Control/Tutor), Windows domain or, alternatively, you are provided with a view of your network. These methods allow you to pick and choose which computers you want to deploy to.

  1. Select the Clients you wish to deploy the licence file to.
  2. Right click on these Clients and select Deploy – NetSupport Manager/School License File.
  3. The Deploy Summary will appear.
  4. Select Properties.

  1. Browse to the NSM.LIC file found in:
    NetSupport Manager
    32bit C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager
    64bit C:\Program Files (x86)\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager
    NetSupport School
    32bit C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport School
    64bit C:\Program Files (x86)\NetSupport\NetSupport School
  2. Click OK to return to the Summary dialog. You can view the contents of the licence file by clicking on the file name.
  3. Click Deploy.
