When connected to a NetSupport Manager Client or NetSupport School Student machine, the keyboard or keypad may not function correctly; some alphabet keys could turn into numeric keys. This commonly occurs when the Control/Tutor is loaded on a laptop.
This is caused by the Control/Tutor machine setting the Num Lock on their machine to the same state as the Num Lock on the Client machine.
In the Control/Tutor, there is a setting that, when applied, will disable the Num Lock synchronisation from the Control/Tutor to Client.
To disable Num Lock synchronisation
NetSupport Manager
- Click the Change the settings for the current Configuration icon
on the caption bar.
- Select Remote Control – Keyboard/Mouse.
NetSupport School
- Click Options in the Tutor Console and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Select Remote Control – Keyboard/Mouse.
