When using classroom.cloud’s Safeguarding/Online Safety feature in an environment where you’re also using NetSupport DNA version 4.85.0002 or below, you will need to disable NetSupport DNA’s eSafety features on the devices you wish to use classroom.cloud’s Safeguarding/Online Safety feature. To do this, you need to create a new profile on your DNA Console with the Phrase Monitoring feature disabled and then assign this profile to your classroom.cloud devices.

The following explains how to configure the profile for your environment and a general overview of how to apply the profile.

Configuring a “classroom.cloud devices” profile in NetSupport DNA

  1. Login to your NetSupport DNA Console.
  2. In the Settings tab, click Manage existing profiles.
  3. In the Manage Profiles window, click Add.
  4. In the Name field, enter “classroom.cloud devices”.
    • Optional, in the Description field, enter a description for the profile. For example, “Disables DNA’s eSafety policies for devices using classroom.cloud’s Safeguarding feature.”
  5. From the Copy from drop-down menu, select the profile your devices should normally have applied to them.
  6. Click OK to create the profile.

  1. Select the “classroom.cloud devices” profile and then click Settings.
  2. Click Phrase Monitoring.
  3. Untick the Enable phrase monitoring option.

  1. Click Save to save and apply the changes to the profile.

Assigning the “classroom.cloud devices” profile to your DNA Agents

  2. Click the Assign button next to the assignment method you are using to apply the profile.
  3. Untick where you have assigned the profile to devices running the classroom.cloud student and then click OK.

  1. Click OK to apply the changes to the profile assignment.

To assign the “classroom.cloud devices” profile to your devices, you will need to perform the following:

  1. Select the “classroom.cloud devices” profile and click Assign.
  2. Click the Assign button next to Departments.
  3. Select/tick the department(s) with the classroom.cloud student installed and then click OK.
    • If you receive a message advising the department is already assigned another profile, you will need to unassign the other profile before you can apply the “classroom.cloud devices” profile.
