Apple has recently introduced a warning on Apple silicon (M-series) Macs informing users that support for Intel-based applications will end in a future version of macOS. This warning may appear when launching a NetSupport application or one of its components.
The message is informational only and does not indicate that the application has stopped working.

Why am I seeing this message?
NetSupport products currently include one or more Intel-based components that rely on Apple’s Rosetta translation technology to run on Apple silicon Macs.
Apple has announced that Rosetta support will be removed in a future macOS release. As a result, macOS now warns users when an application contains Intel-based code.
Does this affect my NetSupport product today?
No.
Current versions of NetSupport products continue to function normally on supported versions of macOS. The warning is simply notifying users of Apple’s future plans and does not require any immediate action.
What is NetSupport doing?
NetSupport is actively working to transition all macOS components to native Apple silicon (Universal) versions. These updates will remove the dependency on Rosetta and ensure compatibility with future macOS releases.
What should I do?
No immediate action is required.
We recommend that you:
- Keep your NetSupport software up to date.
- Install new NetSupport releases as they become available.
Additional information
Apple’s announcement relates to all software that still contains Intel-based components, not just NetSupport products. More information is available in Apple’s support article on Intel-based applications and Rosetta.
