From version 12.01.0006, the NetSupport Manager Control (PCICTLUI.EXE) accepts command line options to perform connections via PIN Connect.
The command line below will connect to a Client machine using a PIN code created at the Client:
“C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager\PCICTLUI.EXE” /s12345
It is possible to include command parameters to perform additional options:
-
- PCICTLUI /s12345 /v – Connect and start viewing in share mode.
- PCICTLUI /s12345 /vc – Connect and start viewing in control mode.
- PCICTLUI /s12345 /vw – Connect and start viewing in watch mode.
- PCICTLUI /s12345 /v /ev – Connect and start viewing in share mode and exit when the View window is closed (the main window is hidden).
The ‘v’ command can be exchanged with the following:
-
- ‘a’ – to chat (and /ea to exit).
- ‘I’ – show inventory (and /ei to exit).
- ‘m’ – remote command prompt (/em to exit).
- ‘x’ – file transfer (/ex to exit).
Windows environment variables can be used to create a link to PCICTLUI.EXE.
For example, you can create an environment value called ‘CONTROL’ and link to “C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager\PCICTLUI.EXE”.
You can then use the following command:
%CONTROL% /sXXXXX
Instead of:
“C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager\PCICTLUI.EXE” /sXXXXX
