For use in your existing NetSupport School-managed classroom environment (NetSupport School v11 or higher connecting to a Windows desktop), the NetSupport School Tutor Assistant app is an extension to the traditional desktop Tutor application – delivering greater mobility for teachers around the class and the ideal tool to allow teaching assistants to help with monitoring students’ progress.
The Tutor Assistant app is free to download from Apple iTunes, Google Play and the Amazon App store.

Configuring the NetSupport School Tutor Console to connect to the Tutor Assistant
The Tutor Console must be running NetSupport School version 11.00.0000 or later.
- Select {View}{Current Settings} from the Tutor Console drop-down menu.
- Select Tutor Assistant.
- Enter a name for the NetSupport School Tutor that will appear at the Tutor Assistant.
- If required, enter a connection password that the Tutor Assistant will need to enter to connect to the Tutor.
- Decide whether to allow Tutor Assistants to be automatically authorised or manually authorised.
- Click Start to start the Assistant Server – The current IP address will be displayed.
Connecting the Tutor Assistant to the Tutor Console
- Open the Tutor Assistant app.
- Enter the IP address of the Tutor Console and the connection password (if set).
- Select Connect and the Tutor Assistant will connect to the selected Tutor Console.
Note: Depending on the settings in the Tutor Console, the Tutor Assistant may need to be authorised before it can connect to the Tutor Console.
