How to remove the My Details icon from the ServiceDesk Home menu ribbon

NetSupport ServiceDesk 5.60.0002 includes a feature that allows for the My Details icon to be removed from the Home menu ribbon. Removing the My Details icon will remove the ability for the user to edit their user details.

Note: This is a global change and will affect all users that log into the ServiceDesk system.

To remove the My Details icon, follow the steps below:

1. Log into NetSupport ServiceDesk as a user with Administrator permissions.
2. Open a new tab and enter this URL to access the Options page: http://ServerNameorIP/helpdesk/support/options.asp.
3. Click Add an Option and enter the following details:

Name: SHOWMYDETAILS
Value: 0
Type: String

4. Click Save changes.
5. When users next log into ServiceDesk, the My Details icon will not be seen on the Home menu ribbon.

To display the My Details icon on the ribbon in the future, go to the Options page, edit the SHOWMYDETAILS entry, change the value to 1 and then click Save changes.
